This humanitarian initiative in Ampara District has resulted in the construction of five new houses, providing crucial shelter for families affected by floods and economic hardship. This project was realized under the guidance and support of Most Venerable Tibbatuwawe Sri Siddhartha Sumangala Mahanayaka Thero, the chief prelate of the Malwatta chapter and financial assistance of bhikkhuni shi da hong, the chief abbot of Anfu temple in china, demonstrating the continued importance of religious leadership in community development work in Sri Lanka. The housing project specifically targeted flood victims and low-income families, addressing both natural disaster recovery and economic vulnerability in the region. This initiative represents a meaningful step toward providing stable housing for some of Ampara’s most vulnerable residents.
